SJ52BK 15oz Black Baker Pants
Samurai Jeans’ SJ52BK gives the familiar baker pant a more substantial cloth. Its 15oz black back satin is woven from thick, uneven yarns at high density, producing a firm texture rather than the glossy surface often associated with finer back satin. The dark color and workwear shape make the trousers easy to wear with a simple tee, denim jacket or overshirt. Their fabric is stiff when new and gradually softens into a better drape with use.
Samurai runs the selvedge along the side seams, borrowing a detail more commonly seen on jeans. Black pinewood tuck buttons are chosen to suit the weight of the cloth, and a union ticket adds another small workwear reference. The yarn is dyed black before weaving, giving the surface depth as well as texture.
