Italian Blucher w/ Cortina Sole
Yuketen’s Italian Blucher w/ Cortina Sole reworks the 1950s lace-up moccasin as a substantial shoe with a polished, elongated profile. It is handcrafted in Italy from full-grain Palermo leather, a robust scotch-grain leather with a full leather lining. The hand-lasted and hand-sewn upper uses genuine moccasin construction to wrap the foot more completely, and pairs a removable kiltie, pinked collar and heel detailing, metal eyelets and genuine kudu-hide leather laces. It delivers the easy character of a moccasin in a more dressed-up shape.
The bottom unit combines a vegetable-tanned leather midsole, a rubber composite midsole and the original Cortina lug sole, first designed for the 1956 Winter Olympics in Cortina. Eight layers of leather, rubber and PU compound work with a full-leather insole, shank, memory foam and arch support for steady, all-day comfort. Finished in Black, the shoe is made to be resoled and worn for years.
